And to think that this movie was only going to premier from Thursday, as we can already see first hand the destruction an anarchy that is ruling the major cities of the country. It is case to say that really it seems that they wont be premiering the movie as we are already having our own "Rise of the Planet of the Apes". Hope this violence ends quickly, we can not and will not live in fear!!!

Croydon 'is a war zone'

I was walking in the Croydon Centre today and passed around all this areas they were looting and setting fire to. It just a disgrace, it is pure evil. How can young people think the best way to be heard and to fight for what they want is to destroy other peoples lives and buisness??

All this seems like a scene from a American movie, never though I would witness riots in my life.

It is sad and utterly shocking to see this in TV. Every one has problems but we don't go out lashing in other people just to feel somehow "Big" and good with ourselves, there is something called law and order that should keep the realm between us all.

Is it copy cat criminality?? Is it organize criminality?? The truth is somehow the messages in BBM, Facebook and Twitter are organizing the masses and most of this offenders are young kids probably between there 14 and 17 years old which means they wont be charged with any crimes because they are minors. As once was said there is nothing worse than a man with no 'cause  or a man with nothing to lose.

As a young sociologist this is one hell of a subject to study in years to come but I certainly do not wish this in any city or to any people.

"War" is not the answer, 'cause the answer is within you.

Shocked and Sad...

This should be foreseen some how long time ago some say but there is no justification for this. This is a reporter with more than 1 year ago were riots could be a risk for England as a result of what we could see happening in other countries like Spain and Greece.

A year around the rain city...

It has been a litle more than a year since I last wrote in my blog. A year building up friendships, living love desilusions,travelling back home, working hard, studying, making new plans and getting a year older and hopefully wiser. So stay tunned 'cause this what you miss in...My so called life!

90 days of Summer

E assim se passou o meu verão, entre outras coisas marcado pela diversão, risos e gargalhadas, pela descoberta e aventura pelo desconhecido. Foi o primeiro verão inglês, foi o primeiro fora da família e amigos. Na memória os passeios pelas ruas de Londres, as deckchairs em Tralfgar Square, as exibições em Covent Garden e a calma em Greenwich park. Acima de tudo mas foi antes de mais um Verão diferente.

Don't want my money back I just enjoyed the show

O meu primeiro concerto em Londres, intimista como é eu queria que fosse, um grande espectaculo com LENKA. Para começar este era um dos concertos que eu mais esperava ver, não só por ser o primeiro da Lenka aqui em Inglaterra mas também porque como sou uma fã de Grey's Anathomy de onde ouvir falar pela primeira vez desta cantora tinha que assistir este concerto. A primeira parte ficou a cargo de uma banda chamada Litle Lost David, um grupo inglês também muito bom com sonoridades fantásticas entre o rock e o blues e baladas próprias de uma série televisiva. Depois eis que surge Lenka com Trouble is a friend mas para mim momentos altos foram as canções Skipalong, Dangerous and Sweet, We will not grow old, Like a Song, Live like your dying, enfim todo o concerto e estar em frente ao palco ajudou a vibrar em cada momento, em cada canção e acompanhar cada letra das suas músicas.

"So called Chaos"

Depois do pesadelo em Stockwell segue-se dois dias de confusão em Londres. A neve estava por toda a a parte e o sal parecia não chegar nas pequenas cidades para limpar passeios e estradas. Sair a rua era perigoso, escorregadelas atrás de escorregadelas.
As escolas fecharam, a justificação foi por medidas de saúde e segurança quando no fundo todos nos sabemos que eles temiam era que alguma coisa acontecesse as crianças se caissem na escola, ou seja, quiseram evitar processos e tempo em tribunal. Alguns bancos também fecharam mas não não sei qual foi a desculpa deles se calhar tinham o dinheiro congelado (lol). E milhares de pessoas não conseguiram ir trabalhar visto não haver transportes e pelos vários atrasos que a neve estava a provocar. É nisto que Portugal ainda consegue bater o UK aos pontos, pode cair tempestades que o governo tem sempre que arranjar solução, porque senão fazemos barulho e é do género "Sr.Ministro arranje uma solução, Sr.Ministro!" mas aqui quem governa sabia que não estavm preparado para este tipo de acontecimento, o pior nevão dos ultimos anos e nem quiseram saber das pessoas e isto tudo porque a e tal custa muito dinheiro e também só acontece de 18 em 18 anos pá... quer dizer... Do modo como andam as alterações climatericas, podem esperar mais surpresas e depois vamos ver se precisam ou não de estar preparados.
